​Resolutely withdraw or suspend the pending implementation of housing project

That is the guidance of Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee - Phan Thi My Thanh, Head of Steering Committee for provincial housing policy and real estate markets (real estate) at the meeting on June 27th.


According to data compiled by the Department of Construction, there are over 70 projects of building houses for workers this year. In which, 18 projects were completed and put into use to provide about 20,000 accommodations. Most of the rest are pending for registration and new places have been introduced for the project deployment, land clearance has just been implemented as well as technical and investment procedures have just been completed. Mentioning about housing for low-income people in urban areas, the provincial People's Committee made a decision to approve on the location for 13 projects with a total area of ​​about 80 hectares; but so far, there has only been one residential project for low-incomers is in progress in Tam Hoa ward, Bien Hoa city conducted by SONANLAND investor.
 
As for other fields such as building houses for students, supporting for the poor in rural areas to improve their living conditions, many significant changes have been recognized. In 2012, the Steering Committee of Provincial housing policy and real estate will continue to focus on implementing the project such as experimenting 500 social houses in Nhon Trach district and Bien Hoa city; investing in student dormitory in Tan Hiep ward, Bien Hoa city; accelerating projects progress for low-income people in Tam Hoa ward, Bien Hoa city. Vice-Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee also requests that all the departments and localities should review and inspect the housing development project in the area, ensure compliance with housing law, withdraw or suspend the pending implementation projects; land which has been allocated but not put into use for the period of time prescribed by laws.
