* Commemorate the victims who died of traffic accident.
On the morning on June 26th, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Vice Prime Minister, Chairman of National Traffic Safety Board hosted the online national conference about traffic safety. In Dong Nai Province, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri, Vice Chairman of Provincial people’s Committee and the members of Provincial Traffic Safety Board, the chairman from districts, Long Khanh Town, Bien Hoa City and the heads of some related organizations City attended.
According to the report from National Traffic Safety Board, for the first six months, there were about 18 thousands accidents nationwide, causing 4.953 deaths and nearly 20 thousands cases of injury. The number of traffic accidents (TNGT) in whole country, the quantity of deaths and injury decreased year over year. 53 provinces reported to witness traffic accidents decrease. However, 10 ones left, including Dong Nai province, were warned and criticized by the National Traffic Safety Board because of the number of traffic accidents in these province increased.
According to Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of Transportation must solve projects such as enhancing the quality of training and issuing driving license, enhancing the ability to transportation registration, using more buses, limiting private transportations in big cities, renewing and propagandizing the traffic law, removing “traffic hot spots”, enhancing equipment for traffic mission. Ministry of Public Security mobilize the biggest force and equipment to enhance patrol for controlling and handling traffic violations, paying more attention to big or overloading means of transportation, especially big passenger vehicles, multiplying model 141 (the patrol mission as well as mission of preventing criminals on streets). All local governments must preliminary summarize the task to ensure traffic safety for the first six months and give out effective solutions to decrease traffic accidents, implementing target of enhancing traffic safety which is suggested by Parliament and Government.
