​National Conference of announcement regulation and information supply to press

On 23th June, a national conference was held by Ministry of Information and Communications to sum up 5 years of performing decision 77/2007/Q Đ-TTG of the Prime Minister about announcement regulation and information supply to press. The conference was chaired by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Mr. Do Quy Doan. Dong Nai delegation including Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung - Manager of Information and Communications Department and representatives of the provincial Party Committee office, Dong Nai Radio – Television and Dong Nai Newspaper attended the conference.


According to the report at the conference, after 5 years of performing decision 77/2007/Q Đ-TTG of the Prime Minister, branches and locals’ announcement regulation and information supply have begun to be stable, timely and clear enough to help make the press more effective. Press agencies had legal basis to get access original information in order to meet people’s requirements, especially sensitive and influential problems and issues in society… Besides its positives, however, implementing announcement regulation and information supply has still encountered shortcomings including responsibilities of agencies, units, locals, spokesmen and also reporters for their announcement regulation and activities and news agencies for managing information…

After listening to delegates’ ideas and making the conclusion, Deputy Minister Information and Communications Mr. Do Quy Doan emphasized it was necessary to continue to seriously and effectively implement the regulation on announcement and information supply to the press because it would not only assure the transparency of executive organs but also help the press collect original and correct information of social situations and assure people’s rights to know.
