On June 19th, Steering Committee of the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize to use Vietnamese goods” leaded by Mr. Vy Van Vu, president of provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a meeting to preliminary summarize the implementation of three-year program in the province.
After 3 years of implementation, the province held 46 fairs which bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas, attracting nearly 190 thousands of visitors to go shopping (of which there were 713 turns of participation of enterprises with 1422 turns of stores; revenue of over 14.7 billion achieved), also, the province held 11 employment fairs for workers with 254 turns of enterprises participation with the total revenue of nearly 4.7 billion. Additionally, the province has organized the week of Vietnamese goods three times with the participation of supermarkets, shopping centers, markets and over 500 businesses, with retail prices discount from 10% to 50%.

According to the estimation of the Steering Committee, after a time persisted implementing the campaign, consumers have increasingly trusted and preferred Vietnamese goods; small traders in traditional markets from rural to urban areas also given priority to display and sell, introduce more for Vietnamese goods; and goods manufactured by domestic firms are increasingly prestigious and accepted by the market.
With the goal of further promoting “Vietnamese people prioritize to use Vietnamese goods” campaign, the encouragement of small business to prioritize to sell and promote Vietnamese goods is especially interested. Especifically, Industry and Trade Department will hold a free training course of sales skills for small businesses, coordinate with the Business Studies & Assistance Center (BSA) to deploy the distribution map in the province, study the current distribution system and establish sales data, the goods sectors in the province, provide enterprises with the need to build distribution networks in the locality.
