On the morning of June 18th, at the meeting with press agencies on the occasion of 87th anniversary celebration of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Standing Committee of Vietnam Central Father Front launched the 10th Press Award For the sake of consolidating national unity – 2012.
As usual, submissions for the competition are written articles, broadcast items, pictorials, e-articles and other kinds of discovery journal which timely reflect the following topics: the implementation of patriotism emulation movement at locals and nationwide; contribution of Father Front at all levels to building a clean and solid Communist Party and State; corruption prevention and fight against, practices of savings and waste prevention; supervision on cadres, Communist Party members and public officers in neighborhoods; implementation of democracy regulations at grassroots level. Besides, the submissions should reflect the current status and the effectiveness of learning and following moral examples of Uncle Ho; practical improvements in the implementation of the movements launched by Father Front. Promoting the strength of consolidating national unity, especially poverty and hunger elimination, new living condition for citizens, natural disaster prevention and fight against, environment protection; fighting against wrong allegations of reactionary forces and enemies… is another important aspect to be exploited. Moreover, its content should be about the humanity, desire and contribution of patriots, intellectuals, religious dignitaries, practical examples from ethnic groups and overseas Vietnamese communities…; especially the publication of propagating the ideology about politic situation and socioeconomic status of all classes of citizens, big events of the country; good examples of behaviors, fights against red tape, corruption and violation…
Vice Chairman of Viet Nam Central Father Front Committee Le Ba Trinh stated that: all submissions must be the articles published from October 01st, 2011 to September 30th, 2012 via domestic news agencies. Registration duration is from June 21st, 2012 to the end of September 30th, 2012. Every writer is allowed up to 5 optional submissions qualified for the Award. The maximum number of writers in each group is 7.
The 10th Press Award For the sake of consolidating national unity – 2012 include: 15 million Vnd for the A Prize; 10 million Vnd for the B prize; 5 million Vnd for the C prize; 3 million Vnd for the consolation prize.
According to Deputy Director of Central Propaganda Department Mr. Nguyen The Ky, the submissions for the Award “For the sake of consolidating national unity” must stick to the topic, content, appropriate titles and innovation to be pervasive and convincing due to interesting details and events, reflecting the reality.
