Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh visits Dong Nai Vocational Training College
|
According to the report released by Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs, Dong Nai province now has 7,751 acting enterprises with a total number of 545,692 laborers. Most laborers have not undergone formal training, and the ratio of technical workers without qualifications or short-term vocational certificates is very high among 65% of laborers holding college degrees. The vocational training still faces such shortcomings as the shortage of regular teachers and training expenses, and poor infrastructure, etc.
The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs proposed that Provincial Party Committee and
Provincial People’s Committee should make plans for the land fund, as well as publicize and concretize favorable regimes for public units and non-public units who participate in vocational training.
Addressing at the working session, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh affirmed that the quality of human resources training is one of the most important factors for Dong Nai to strive to become an industrial province in the process of modernization by 2010. Focus must be laid on labor forces for enterprises but also for other sectors of agriculture, tourism, and services, etc.; especially about virtuous characters and industrial style. He also emphasized that this is not only the responsibility of government, but also of wholly political system. Accordingly, it’s necessary to carry out effective policies to attract more high-skilled intellectual staff.
