Dao Duc Trinh – Head of Planning and Finance Division of Dong Nai Department of Education and Training – said that the whole province would establish 6 new schools including 2 private preschools, 2 secondary schools, 1 primary school, and 1 vocational secondary school. Expectedly, about 550,000 students will be mobilized to go to schools in the 2008-2009 academic year.

In addition to that, the preschools in the province still lack material facilities due to the limited expense in localities.

The meeting view

Most of the voters reported that cadres in provincial education sector receive low salaries especially when the cost of living is getting higher. They have to face many difficulties in the inflation situation at present.

Chairman Vo Van Mot suggested that the education sector should focus on well conducting main tasks such as improving teaching staff, upgrading classes to reduce triple shifts, and renewing education programs and so on.
