30-year anniversary of Science and Technology Department

Mr. Nguyen Quan – Deputy Minister of the Science and Technology Ministry awarded the emulation flag to Dongnai Department of Science and Technology.

    The forerunner of Dongnai Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is provincial Science and Technology Committee and it has gone through four times of name changing (1978-1988: Science and Technology Committee; 1988-1993: Science and Technology Board; 1993-06/30/2003: Department of Science, Technology and Environment (QĐ 3917/QĐ.UBT on 12/17/1993); 07/01/2003 till now Department of Science and Technology in accordance with the Decision No 1747/2003/QĐ-UBT on 06/17/2007 by Dongnai People’s Committee). Over 30 years of establishment and development, Dongnai Science and Technology has grown incessantly in terms of operational quality as well as the staff working in this scientific field. The industry has made considerable contributions to researching and handing over new technologies to set up and develop our economy especially during such a period of furthering industrialization, modernization, and integration to the world.

Mr. Nguyen Quan – Deputy Minister of the Science and Technology Ministry awarded certificate of merit to Director of Dongnai Department of Science and Technology.

    Stating at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quan – Deputy Minister of the Science and Technology Ministry commended our provincial Science and Technology industry on their gained achievements, and simultaneously confirmed that Dongnai is always a “bright point” in realizing effectively the industry’s activities and makes significant contributions to socio-economic development of the locality in particular and of the whole country in general. He expected that Dongnai with its important role in the South’s main economic zone must actually “depart and arrive first” and develop in a quick, comprehensive and sustainable manner. The Deputy Minister emphasized that in the forthcoming, with its achieved results Dongnai Department of Science and Technology will contribute further more to studying and applying scientific and technological advances to manufacture in order to deserve being titled “the leading unit” all over the country.

Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai - Vice President of Provincial People’s Committee presented  laudatory hangings to Dongnai Department of Science and Technology.

    On behalf of the provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai – its Vice President highly appreciated all the efforts the Department has made so far, at the same time emphasizing the four main duties on which the Department must focus in the coming time as follows: Research and suggest the provincial People’s Committee direct the effective implementation of the structure and policy developing scientific and technological potentials in the locality, creating a favourable environment contributing to the enhancement of economic components’ scientific and technological levels and focusing on the investment and application of new sciences and technologies into the rural and agricultural development; Intensify the activities to encourage and motivate  economic components to take part in the investment on renovating equipment and especially on the human resources to develop talents and to attach research to development application; Set up organizations and teams of science and technology that become more and more sustainable and developed in terms of quantity as well as quality; Speed up the international integration in science and technology, acquiring selectively scientific and technological breakthroughs to better serve Dongnai socio-economic development.

Individuals were presented Campaign Medals for scientific career.

    On this occasion, the Ministry of Science and Technology awarded the emulation flag to Dongnai Department of Science and Technology for its excellent achievements in 2007’s scientific and technological activities, presented Campaign Medals to 54 individuals with a lot of contributions to science career and merits of certificate to 6 individuals. The provincial People’s Committee also presented to Dongnai Department of Science and Technology a laudatory hanging acknowledging its contributions over the past 30 years and awarded many merits of certificate to individuals with good achievements in scientific and technological operation.
