Dong Nai province opens national seminar on enhancing operation quality at district-level libraries

Seminar on district library’s organization and activity in Dong Nai province

        The seminar this time was held on national scale. Representatives of 64 provinces across the country and typical districts in the province made their speeches to present achievements, difficulties, and still-existing limitations in the process of organizing activities serving for readers of district libraries at localities.

        At the seminar, the most important attention was paid to the petitions made by library leaders about administrative management of district libraries in the current situation. Delegates suggested that district People’s Committee should control libraries in districts, taking the place of district Centre for Culture and Sports.

        Also on that late afternoon, delegates continued to discuss and learn about the activity model of typical district libraries.

        On May 29, delegates would come to the library in Tan Phu district to participate in the opening ceremony of new head office here. They also had a working session with leaders of district libraries in two districts of  Dinh Quan and Trang Bom.
