The 12th meeting session of the 7th Provincial People’s Council: scheduled to take place for between four and five days.

On the morning of October 5, a joint session was held to pass the program of the 12th meeting session – the end-of-year session of the Provincial People's Council by the Provincial Party’s Committee Standing Board, the People’s Council, the Provincial People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee. Presiding over the meeting was Tran Dinh Thanh – Secretary of the Provincial Party’s Committee and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council.

At the end-of-year meeting, the provincial People’s Council will focus on the following things: considering and evaluating the implementation of socio-economic, security and national defense tasks in 2007; deciding tasks of 2008; evaluating receipts and expenses in 2007; considering and deciding budget tasks in 2008 and the approval for the state budget final settlement in 2006; evaluating the implementation of plans for investment and construction in 2007 and setting the targets in 2008; giving comments on the adjustment of land prices in 2008.

Besides, the meeting will also consider and evaluate special issues as follows: education, public health, culture, sports and physical training socialization in the period 2007-2010; expenses for a business trip and for organization of conferences in state-run and non-productive agencies and some kinds of fees. It will take into consideration some of reports about corruption prevention and fighting and complaints-denunciation settlement in 2007 and deploy resolutions of the provincial People’s Council remaining valid.

The end-of-year meeting of the provincial People’s Council is scheduled to take place for between 4 and 5 days.
