Ceremony to mark the 77th Anniversary of Vietnam National United Front (November 18,1930 – November 18, 2007): Renovate the operating mode and further enhance the great national unity bloc.

Chairperson of the Provincial Fatherland Front granted the medals and certificates of merit to cadres

    After reviewing the tradition of Vietnam National United Front, now renamed Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms Nguyen Thi Kim Lien- Member of Provincial Standing Committee of the Party and the Chairperson of the Provincial Fatherland Front- said that in 2007 people from all walks of life in the province had been eager to take part in the movements of patriotic emulation and made contributions to provincial socio-economic achievements. As for charity and social work, from the beginning of 2007 up to now, Through 

    Provincial Fatherland Front and Unions, the whole province built and handed over 818 houses of compassion worth over VND8.8 billion. Besides, the Fatherland Front committee at all levels mobilized people to contribute billions of Vietnam dong to support flood victims and care for policy beneficiary families. The movement of uniting people and helping people in the homeland with promoting production by loaning funds, supporting plants together with  breeding animals, instructing agricultural techniques has been expanded, making great contributions to help a large number of households to overcome poverty and become well-off.

    At the meeting, the members of the Fatherland Front Committee expressed their delight in socio-economic achievements that the province and the nation gained this year. There were some suggestions that the Fatherland Front and Unions should cooperate closely with grass roots and people to timely reveal difficulties as well as remaining problems that need to deal with as well as to help miserable lives and disadvantaged families. A lot more opinions were suggested that when our nation has been intensively integrating into the global economy, the Father Front should renovate its mode of working to both assemble people nationwide and enhance the solidarity among people of all classes, especially care about farmers together with workers. Through to those activities, the national power to take part in constructing a well-off and strong nation is brought into full play.

    On this occasion, 53 people having made a lot of contributions to the front’s work was honored a remembrance medal “great national unity”.
