3 new categories available in Dong Nai Province’s Website

Director of Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology Pham Van Sang said, the number of viewers access Dong Nai’s website at http://www.dongnai.gov.vn was around between 13,000 and 15,000 every day. In order to make the Website to become an information portal of the province, the website’s editorial and management board in collaboration with other departments and sectors continuously improve and add new categories to the website in order to meet the demands for information of the residents as well as investors at home and abroad. Such categories are information pages to serve investment promotion in Korea and United States, Independence Day - September 2, Liberation Day - April 30 and the 8^th Congress of the Provincial Party Committee, category of online television and so on

These three new categories are built based on the Province’s website background and handed over to respective specialized agencies to increase the efficiency in providing information and disseminating the province’s policies and guidelines to people, organizations and enterprises within and outside the province. Specifically, category “Administrative Reform in Dong Nai” was handed over to Department of Internal Affairs, “Put Party’s resolutions into practice” to Board  for Information and Education of Dong Nai Party Committee, “Security, and Public Order” to the Provincial-level Police.

Director Pham Van Sang added, Dong Nai’s Website currently had two versions in English and Vietnamese. At Present, the website’s administration board is building another version in Chinese and at the same time building human resources to provide two other versions in Korean and Japanese by the end of 2008 in order to meet the needs for information of a large number of foreign organizations and enterprises in operation in Dong Nai.

Addressing at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Mot said, application of IT to state administrative management has been effective and that providing three new categories on the province’s website was meaningful, contributing to the administrative reform or more simple and faster settlement of administrative procedures. He suggested that in order to promote the efficiency of the website and its categories, concerned agencies should enhance management especially information security measures.
