Dong Nai Provincial Trade Union launched emulation movements in 2007

The conference on summing up emulation movements in 2006 and launching emulation campaigns in 2007

In the spirit of enhancing results obtained from emulation movements in 2006 and enhancing the traditions of solidarity and creativeness of Vietnamese working class, the patriotic emulation movements among  working people in 2007 focused on improving trade union operation, speeding up socio-economic development. Concretely, in order to ensure economic targets (increasing production value of all sectors, struggling for a total budget revenue in the province that exceeds the target assigned by the Central Authority, increasing GDP by 15% compared with 2006 etc) and social targets (decreasing the population growth by 1.19%, work settlement for 85,000 working people, improving quality of education and public health... and decreasing the rate of poor households to 7.5%), emulation movements among enterprises and administrative agencies will be promoted.

Working people, in turn, will be called upon to intensify movements entitled “working well”, “working creatively”, ensure labour safety and hygiene, promote initiatives and creativeness in working and production, practise thrift and simultaneously keep on learning and improving professional skills… Trade union levels in non-productive agencies are going to encourage employees and Youth Union’s members to promote democracy, intelligence, and sense of responsibility in working, further administrative reform, apply “one door” mechanism, practise thrift and fight against waste and corruption etc

In order to carry out emulation movements effectively, the provincial Trade Union also suggested that labour union at all levels should work out specific plans and give directions on the implementation practically.
