According to Mr. Le Van Danh, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Industrial Zones by October 14, 2021, 1,382 projects in the provincial Industrial Zones have resumed operation, reaching a rate of about 81%. Up to now, in the Industrial Zones of the province, there have been about 1,713 projects operating with the number of employees being nearly 615.4 thousand people. Enterprises with projects to restart operations have nearly 334.2 thousand people, accounting for 54% of all employees.
On October 11, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No.12419/UBND-KGVX guiding the implementation of business and production plans to ensure that the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in the new situation has removed barriers to businesses’ production restoration. Therefore, many businesses have registered to increase workforce to restore the operation of projects. In particular, enterprises with foreign direct investment capital, quickly signed contracts with foreign partners after learning about the province’s specific opening schedule. Therefore, many orders are retained for the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022. Some enterprises with a large number of employees have resumed operations such as: Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. has had 26,200/39,225 employees return to work; Taekwang Vina Industrial Joint Stock Company has nearly 14,052 out of 31,200 employees who have returned to work; Hwaseung Vina Co., Ltd. has 13,821/17,102 employees back to work, etc.
