Korea is the second largest import market
Dong Nai imports many machines from Korea
According to the Department of
Industry and Trade, in the first nine months of 2021, Dong Nai imported goods
from South Korea of more than US$1.95
billion, accounting for nearly 14% of the province's total import turnover of
goods and up nearly 33% over the same period of the previous year. In September
2021, businesses in the province spent nearly US$200 million to buy goods from
the Korean market, an increase of nearly 3% compared to the last month and an
increase of 18.5% over the same period in 2020.Some items imported a lot from
Korea are plastic materials; Iron and Steel; Common metal; Chemicals;
Machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts.
Most of the materials imported
from Korea are foreign-invested enterprises. Currently, Korea is the second
largest import market of Dong Nai (after China). At the same time, for many
years, the trade balance has always been in favor of Korea and Dong Nai with a
trade deficit of more than US$1 billion per year.
