Delegation of universities from the State of Oklahoma (the USA) came to visit and work with Dong Nai province in the field of human resource training

Dong Nai province is setting up Human resource development projects served for the socio-economic growth in the area during the period of 2006 to 2010 and the prospect of 2020. Among those projects, there is a post-graduate training program that is intended to train the cadres of science and technology, key leaders and excellent experts in management bodies of the Party, the State, provincial organizations, schools, research centers and enterprises in the area. Before that, in August 2006, through a visit to Dong Nai province, representatives of the universities from Oklahoma had a good will to help Dong Nai in training and developing human resources focused on key industries.

The Delegation’s today visit  is to exchange necessary information for the process of co-operation training of human resources and the procedures prepared for the diplomatic relations between the two parties. On behalf of the Delegation, Mr. Barry Clark presented the State’s training advantages particularly in the fields of geographic information system (GIS), electronics, telecommunication, energy, bio-technology, etc. and expressed a desire to firmly co-operate with Dong Nai province in training.

The Vice President of the provincial People’s Committee- Ms. Huynh Thi Nga also introduced to the Delegation the information of demands on human resource training in Dong Nai and expected to learn about  detailed information on advantageous fields of Okalahoma’s universities in order to make effective and long-term plans of exchange and co-operation.

Accepting the official invitation from the Governor to visit the State of Oklahoma in April 2007, the provincial leaders expected the visit delegation to contract the memorandum of learning about realistic strengths of universities, contacting Vietnamese students living and studying in the State and some other contents in which Dong Nai is upper hand so that the visit is really a premise for the process of exchange and co-operation in the way that the two parties are both beneficial.

So as to have grounds of making procedures for Dong Nai province’s Delegation to visit and work in Oklahoma State, the provincial People’s Committee entrusts the Director of the Department of Science and Technology with missions of mainly receiving information, presiding and combining with other concerned Deparments or Branches of Dong Nai province to counsel and suggest the provincial People’s Committee regarding the  reports to the Provincial Party Committee so that the Delegation will visit and work according to the contents as discussed in today working session.
