Dongnai Culture and Information Branch received the first rank Labor Medal

Communities and individuals received the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister

During the past years, with utmost efforts, Dongnai Culture and Information Branch has taken over excellently the province’s political missions and has little by little increased the capability in organizing and managing large-scaled cultural and political activities, making great contributions to the preservation, keeping and promotion of traditional values, creating wholesome lifestyles all over the province. Specifically, the Branch has organized many activities to welcome big holidays of the Party, the State and the locality with effervescent emulation activities in all fields of culture from the provincial level to the grassroots level such as emulation movement of study to increase the level; competition among mobile teams of presenting films and of giving information that served remote and far-away communes; preservation and promotion of heritage’s values (Dongnai Museum kept thousands of valuable archaeological objects, 34 ranked historic relics, more than 1,000 general vestiges and over 400 traditional houses that were investigated, inventoried and preserved); building of e-mail project and the like. The deployment of cultural institution construction, especially ones that suited each locality’s features such as building Centers of Culture and Information of communes and wards, organizing cultural and musical contests and so forth which were particularly interested in by the Branch and became ebullient emulation movements among localities. As for the movement that the whole population united to build a cultural life was deployed together with emulation movements of building cultural families, quarters and hamlets. Agencies and units had good cultural lives and communes, wards and towns fulfilled well the prevention of drugs and prostitution and so on.

With the achievements, Dongnai Culture and Information Branch was honourly awarded the first rank Labor Medal by the State’s President; the Province’s Library, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri- Director of the Department of Culture and Information, Mr. Tran Tat Thanh- Director of the Province’s Library honourly received the third ranks Labor Medals and 17 communities and individuals received the Certificates of merit from the Prime Minister.

Attending and chairing the ceremony, Mr. Le Doan Hop, the Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Information expected that entering the year of 2007, Dongnai Culture and Information Branch would continue promoting the achievements, and simultaneously continue deploying activities with a purpose of developing progressive and filled with national identity culture, helping to achieve 10 culture and information goals of the whole country.
