The meeting affirmed the results of one-year implementation of the Resolution adopted by the tenth Party Congress and the Resolution adopted by the eighth provincial Party Congress, based on which produced the plans of socio-economic development in 2007. Specifically, the growth rate is strived to gain 15%, economic structure with industry and construction branches occupying 57.4%, service branch 30.2%, agriculture - forestry - fish-breeding branches making up 12.4%. These are the highest targets which have never been set up before.
With regards to the field of budget receipts and expenses, in spite of a lot of difficulties, the achievements are noticeable with the results of the National budget receipts reaching 100% of the year estimates and increasing 12% in comparison with the same period last year, which largely contributes to the impulse of the provincial socio-economic development.
In his speech at the meeting, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh highly appreciated the efforts of all provincial levels and branches during the past time in realizing socio-economic goals and simultaneously pointed out that in order to carry out the targets given in 2007, it was necessarily a priority to improve further the investment environment and investment promotion to strongly encourage domestic economic individuals to develop their manufactures, innovate the technology, decrease the costs, reduce products’ cost prices, increase the competitiveness and strongly attract foreign investment, particularly in managerial renovation on the basis of making the most of the advantages resulted from the process of WTO access, promoting completely the provincial internal force. As for the National budget receipts, the Provincial Party Committee Secretary demanded the focused guidance in performing effectively budget receipt solutions, preventing loss of revenue, tax evasion and contraband, and due date to pay tax, ensuring the budget receipts in 2007 meet the target in the Resolution put forward by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People’s Council.
