There are still gaps in training process
Dong Nai is a large industrial province and is also adjacent to the leading industrial provinces and cities in the country such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau. These provinces and cities are also in need of a large amount of high-quality labor, so if we cannot train and supply ourselves with them, there will be a shortage of skilled human resources. This will affect attracting investment, because investors who want to develop cannot lack high-quality human resources. On the other hand, if attracting skilled labor from other localities, the costs may be higher.
Dong Nai currently has 6 higher education institutions, including 5 universities with multi-disciplinary training. In addition, the province also has 10 vocational colleges with multi-disciplinary training and a number of vocational schools. If compared to the number of universities and colleges in the Southeast region, Dong Nai ranks 3rd after Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong. Currently, there are a number of large educational corporations that are continuing to search and build training facilities in Dong Nai to welcome training opportunities and provide high quality human resources in the near future.
Although the system of training facilities has been developed in terms of quantity, it can be seen that there is still a gap in the level and quality between training facilities. For example, there are universities that have gone through two cycles of education quality accreditation, and many training majors have reached the standards of the Asean University System (AUN) and the United States. However, up to now, there are still universities that have not completed the first cycle of quality accreditation...
In the assessments of the provincial competitiveness index (PCI), Dong Nai province still "losing points" in the criteria of training and providing human resources. Therefore, in order to attract new generation investment capital in the near future, it is clear that not only infrastructure conditions and preferential policies but also the quality of human resource training will play an important role. Therefore, from now on, training institutions need to quickly start arranging and improving the quality of training.

Focusing on technical industries
Dr. Le Anh Duc, Rector of Dong Nai University, said that in the past, the school mainly trained pedagogy, economics, and foreign languages. However, this year the school has started training two new majors: electrical - electronic engineering and mechanical engineering. These new majors may become one of the school's strengths in its orientation to becoming a multidisciplinary university.
Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector of Lac Hong University, said that mechatronics, information technology, and artificial intelligence are majors that the school will continue to invest in to welcome investment wave in the world's semiconductor and chip manufacturing industries that might "land" in Vietnam in the near future. The school has sent lecturers abroad to train in new fields, and will coordinate with businesses to train high-quality human resources in the near future.
According to Dr. Le Quang Trung, Vice Rector of Lilama 2 International Technology College, the school's mechanical engineering, electronics, and industrial electrical industries have reached international levels, on par with other countries such as Great Britain, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the United States. Currently, the school has coordinated with Bosch Group and Mercedes Benz of the Federal Republic of Germany to train and provide skilled labor. These are partners who are very strict about the skills of workers. In addition, the school also cooperates with Vietjet Air to train workers for the aviation sector.
