Phuoc An Port is located along the Thi Vai River, which is currently considered Vietnam's best waterway route. After a period of expedited construction, the Phuoc An Port project has completed the construction of two berths, numbers 5 and 6, with a total length of 670 meters. The dredging depth of the water area in front of the berths is 14.7 meters. According to Petro Vietnam Phuoc An Port Investment & Operation Joint Stock Company, once operational, the port will be capable of handling both container and general cargo, with a capacity to handle 2.2 million TEUs and 4 million tons of general cargo annually.

With the capability to accommodate ships up to 60,000 DWT, Phuoc An Port has been inspected and notified by the Planning and Investment Department (Ministry of Transport) for acceptance checks to be put into use. At the port, the importation of machinery and equipment such as STS crane systems and RTG cranes has been completed.

Additionally, cargo handling equipment such as forklifts and tractors are undergoing acceptance inspection and trial runs to be ready for operational deployment next month. Concurrently, the access road to Phuoc An Port, which connects with the industrial zones of Nhon Trach, has also been opened to traffic and is in the final stages of completion.
