On December 30, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired an online meeting with provinces and cities across the country to evaluate the 2019 mission and set out a plan for 2020. Attending the Conference was the General Secretary and President. Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Standing Committee Secretary Tran Quoc Vuong and 11 members of the Politburo member, Government members, leaders of 63 provinces and cities. At Dong Nai destination, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phu Cuong; Deputy Secretary, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung chaired the conference.

Opening the online conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that 2019 is a year when Vietnam's economy will achieve high growth, many fields will achieve record growth. Business environment continued to improve, competitiveness increased by 10 levels compared to 2018. Social culture has made many progress, poverty reduction achieved positive results, people's lives have been improved.

According to the Government's report, in 2019, Vietnam excellently accomplished many socio-economic targets, Vietnam's GDP growth reached 7.02% (the National Assembly set a target of 6.8% increase), among the world's top high religion growth countries. Inflation is controlled at a low level of 2.79%, the lowest increase during the past 3 years. Import-export scale reached 517 billion USD, the highest ever, trade surplus was over 9.9 billion USD, this is the fourth year in a row. Implemented FDI capital reached over 20 billion USD, the highest ever. The number of newly established enterprises also reached a record, over 138 thousand enterprises. International tourists reached over 18 million visitors

At the conference, Deputy Prime Ministers Truong Hoa Binh reported the socio-economic development of 2019, the 2020 mission plan; Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh reported a brief review of the Government's direction and administration work in 2019; Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue introduces a draft Resolution on key tasks and solutions to direct the administration of socio-economic development plans and State budget estimates in 2020; Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam briefed the results of the implementation of Resolution No. 02 / NQ-CP in 2019 and introduced the Draft Resolution to implement key tasks to improve business environment and national competitive capacity in 2020.
