Traffic Safety Month Campaign Launched

On the morning of August 31, Bien Hoa Municipal Traffic Safety Committee collaborated with Dong Nai Provincial Traffic Safety Committee in holding a ceremony to launch the campaign.

Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee, Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee, and Head of Dong Nai Traffic Safety Committee Dinh Quoc Thai attended the ceremony.

Police forces and Youth Union members participate in parades to launch Traffic Safety Month campaign in Bien Hoa

Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai asked the Traffic Safety Committees of districts, towns, and cities to enhance propaganda programs concerning harmful effects of alcohol on road users and condemned drunk drivers.

Patrol and traffic control forces are required to quickly break up traffic jams, to maintain traffic safety and security during the National Day, to strictly deal with traffic and security violations, and to focus on road users who use alcohol, beer, and addictive drugs, and on students who break traffic rules and take part in illegal motorbike races.

Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee stressed that it is necessary to maintain traffic safety, to avoid formality, and to bring out most effectiveness.

The same day, Traffic Safety Committees in all parts of the province held a ceremony to launch Traffic Safety Month campaign.

Water Way Traffic Police Office, units in charge of local water way administration, inspectors, and Bien Hoa Wharf launched the campaign and marched on Dong Nai river in response to Traffic Safety Month Campaign 2011.
