Stories about following Uncle Ho’s moral example in Education and Training sector: From daily life stories...

​ In "Good model following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh” story telling contest  organized by the Education and Training  Department for secondary and high school students, there were daily life  stories that touched the viewers’ hearts.
In the story told by Phan Ngoc Linh, student of Tam Phuoc High School, there was an example of  Do Van Dung a young teacher of Dinh Tien Hoang primary -  secondary  and high school  (Bien Hoa city).


​* A good daily life model
For the last 2 years, Mr. Dung  has been maintaining a class of love called "Sun Flower" for nearly 40 students with special circumstances at  his own home. In addition to providing education, he also teaches them skills of life, and knowledge of protecting themselves from the social evils in their livings. In the story, Mr Dung said that: "When I was a student, I always dreamt of organizing a literacy class for children with special circumstances. Among them, some are orphans, some sell lottery tickets, some have to do part-time jobs... but all of them desired to know how to read and write and I should be responsible for helping them to do so ".

And Huynh Le Lan Chi, a student of Vinh Cuu High School told an example of Mr.  Huynh Vu Chau (living in  Hamlet 4, Binh Loi Commune,Vinh Cuu District) - an orphan boy strived to become a good architect.  Lan Chi said: "The character following Uncle Ho's is not really great, but I see he had the courage and will to overcome all difficulties ...".
 
In the narrative of Phan Thi Anh Thu, a student of  Ngo Thoi Nhiem secondary school  (Dinh Quan district), the image of her friend whose name is Vu Lan Anh is a good example of  young age spirit to overcome difficulties. As an orphan, Lan Anh has to live with her grandmother. Each day, she has to walk nearly 5km of red dirt road to school which becomes very marshy on rainy days and dusty when it’s sunny. Occasionally, she thought of quitting school, but with her fortitude and the support from her school, teachers and friends, Lan Anh continued to go to school and became an excellent student of Ngo Thoi Nhiem secondary school.

 
Attending the contest, Tran Thi Phuong, student of Ngo Quyen High School (Bien Hoa City) said: "Each touching story is about a model of following Uncle Ho’s moral example, including image of a dedicated teacher, a school guard who takes students across the road safely, or simply a janitor whose job is to keep the streets clean every night ... All of them learnt from uncle Ho’s stories and voluntarily followed his moral example . "
 
 
* Is It difficult to follow uncle Ho’s example?
Mr. Phan Trong Nghia, Deputy Head of student affairs division (Department of Education and Training) said that students of each grade attending this contest have different ways to express the models following Uncle Ho’s  moral example but they have the one thing in common which is that examples they told are stories happen everyday. Even, some characters also appeared in the contest to interact with the judges and viewers  share their own experiences in  learning and following uncle Ho’s moral example.
 
Mr. Le Minh Hoang, Director of Education and Training department said that: In the stories that the  students told in the contest, there are many good models such as  dedicated teachers, students  who try their best in study and life. Following Uncle Ho's moral example has contributed significantly to the result of the campaign "Every teacher is a moral example, self-education and creation" that is being implemented by Education and Training sector.
 
Ms Tran Vuong Nhi - secretary of Nguyen Trai High School Youth union (Bien Hoa city), who was selected as a character in the story told by Pham Ngoc To Quyen at the contest, emotionally said that "being chosen as the character in my student’s story, at first I was very confused because I found myself haven’t really sticked Uncle Ho’s teaching. But then, I thought  this is an opportunity  for me to examine myself and to make more effort to deserve the model following Uncle Ho’s  moral example.

 
Phan Ngoc Linh, the person who who won the first prize among high school students happily  said : "I am only the person to tell good model following Uncle Ho’s example but I feel proud of myself as I had the chance to  introduce  a real good simple daily life example who learnt and followed  Uncle Ho’ will with all her heart and respect to the judges, teachers and friends. Meanwhile, Phan Thi Anh Thu, the person who won the first prize among  secondary  school students  expressed a desire of more contests like this so that they will have the chance to tell, to introduce real people, real incidents in their daily lives.
