The 10-year summary report on the implementation of Dong Nai’s national strategies for women’s advancement indicates that most targets according to plans have been reached or exceeded, that the organizational structure has been strengthened and improved at provincial to communal levels, and that the province’s putting gender equality into practice’s programs and implementing economic development programs and plans in the fields of labor; employment; education; health care; politics; culture; society; planning, training, and promotion for female staff; gender-related education and propaganda programs; and gender equality policies and laws, which should be implemented in all sectors, levels of authorities, and unions to contribute to bringing the gender equality awareness to life.
Throughout 2011, departments, sectors, and unions members have collaborated with one another in holding propaganda programs; bringing media publications on women’s advancement, and child care and protection to 14,728 officers, civil servants, and members of levels of Women’s Association; issuing more than 6,000 propaganda materials on women’s affairs; disseminating the implementation of employment and insurance policies concerning women workers and gender equality law to 255,000 lots of workers.
Up to now, over 98 per cent of women leaders, 95 per cent of women members, and 95 per cent of labor union staff in the province have obtained propaganda information on how to improve their gender equality awareness.

At the working session, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and Head of the Inspection Delegation Huynh Vinh Ai highly appreciated Dong Nai’s recent-year achievements concerning the implementation of gender equality affairs and national strategy for women’s advancement.
Particularly, Dong Nai is one of the four regions in the country to complete the machinery of the Committee for Women’s Advancement at all levels and to implement policies that help the civil servants with small children at school age.
Dong Nai’s gender equality and for women’s advancement affairs are paid special attention to by the Central Government due to the fact that the province has a lot of women workers, ethnic minority groups, and different religions, said Ai.
It is expected that Dong Nai will be selected to present a report on the 10-year summation program of implementation of the national strategy for women’s advancement.
In order for gender equality to go into reality and to contribute to improving women’s role and position, Dong Nai Committee for Women’s Advancement is required to conduct research and put forward solutions so that the provincial leadership can continue designing detailed plans on women’s affairs, suggested Ai.
Also, he said that the Standing Committees at Local Committees for Women’s Advancement will continue to be situated in Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs.
