Summation Meeting about the Restoration Projects of Historic Sites and Construction of Dong Nai Natural and Cultural Conservation Reserve

On the morning of October 28, Dong Nai People's Committee held a summation meeting about the restoration projects of historic sites and construction of Dong Nai Natural and Cultural Conservation Reserve.

The meeting was attended by Member of the Central Party and Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai, Vice Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Council Huynh Thi Nga, former leaders of the province, and representatives for the provincial departments, committees, and sectors.

Completion of Construction of Memorial Temple for Eastern-Region Party Committee Base

Dong Nai People’s Committee’s report on the conservation projects of historic sites and construction of Ecological, Cultural, and Historical Center at War Zone D in 1996-2010 period shows that restoration projects of historic sites at War Zone D: Southeast Region Party Committee Base; South Region Central Bureau Base; Ecological, Cultural, and Historical Center at War Zone D; Traditional Long House of Choro Ethnic Minority Community have been implemented since 1996. Despite difficulties in the process of making surveys of weather and road conditions and keeping projects on files, construction units with love and responsibility towards history have completed the restoration and renovation of historic sites as scheduled under the close directions of Dong Nai Party Committee and People’s Committee.

Up to now, projects have not only contributed to preserving and promoting historical and cultural values and educating personal qualities among young generations but also created opportunities for investment, tourism development, and improvement of materialistic, spiritual, and cultural life among locals, especially among regional ethnic minority communities. Historic sites have attracted ten lots of visitors from home and abroad for sightseeing, study, and research.

At the meeting, Dong Nai People's Committee gave awards to nine collectives and eleven individuals with achievements in the implementation process of projects and announced its decision upon the establishment of the Steering Committee for the construction of Dong Nai Reserve for Natural Conservation and Culture. Head of the Committee is Vice Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tri.
