Meeting to mark 100th birth anniversary of the late Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung

​Mr Nguyen Phu Trong – General Secretary; Mr. Truong Tan Sang – State President; Mr. Do Muoi and Mr. Le Kha Phieu – former General Secretaries;   and former State President Le Duc Anh sent bouquets to the aniversary.

Attendees at the aniversary along with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung were former State President Nguyen Minh Triet, former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An, and former Secretariat of Party Central Committee Le Hong Anh, Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang, Chairman of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Huynh Dam; Deputy Prime Ministers Nguyen Thien Nhan and Vu Van Ninh; plus commissioners of Politburo and former comrades of the Party Central Committee Secretaries.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung highlighted historically enormous contributions of the late Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung – the loyal and indomitable Communist fighter, excellent follower of President Ho Chi Minh; prestigious leader of the Party, State and people; outstanding child of Vietnam for his glorious revolutionary career of the Party and nation.

The Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung emphasised that Mr. Pham Hung was a senior, talented, disciplined and sharp vision owning leader of the Party, State and Vietnam Revolution. The revolutionary’s life and career always associated with not only arduous, sacrificed but also glorious and heroic struggles of the Party and State. He was a shinning example of a genuine communist who devoted his entire life to his nation and his people. 

In his 60 years of enthusiastic and leading revolution career, even in imperial prison, fierce battles, facing the revolutions’ turning points or new, complex and difficult missions…, comrade Pham Hung always appeared to be a resilient and loyal fighter to the revolution career of the Party. He was always ready to fight and die for the independence and freedom of the State and people’s happiness. 

Built up and matured in an abundant revolutionary environment, plus wide knowledge and scientic and sharp mind, Mr. Pham Hung had his big share of building the Party’s policies and lines, the State’s law and creatively applied them into the practice of two long term resistances as well as the career of building and protecting the nation. 

Being assigned plenty of important responsibilities for varied fields, comrade Pham Hung was always truly dedicated to his work regardless of harships and difficult situations. With the spirit of revolution going forward, together with his unique energy and iron will and strong belief in the revolution’s victory, he always successfully completed his tasks and important responsibilities given by the Party, the State and people.

Mr. Pham Hung always took his special care for building the Party, the political system; maintained the principle of democratic centralism, criticized and self-criticized sincerely and frankly, kept the Party’s consolidation. He also took great care of training officer activity and was friendly, democratic, disciplined and tolerant of all people. 

All for people’s sake, believed in people’s power, closely attached with people, unstoppably strived to build the great national unity,  Mr. Pham Hung always cared, educated, englightened and studied hard as well as dedicated to serve his people, which made people love, trust and protect him. He successfully completed duties of the people’s delegate in the 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th and 8th Congress. 

Being an excellent follower of the President Ho Chi Minh, his entire career is a shining example, a standard of the moral revolution: thrift, honesty, righteousness, impartial, always loved working, timing cherished, scientic and effective working styled, careful, thoughtful and always strict with himself.

The Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung hightlighted, as outlined by the Communist Party of Vietnam and Uncle Ho and revolutionary leaders, including the late Chairman Pham Hung, that following 25 years of renewal, Vietnam has gained historically great achievements. Vietnam released from its underdeveloped status, moved to the group of developing countries with medium income range; power of all national fields were strengthened; the independence, sovereignty and consolidation and socialist regime were maintained; people’s lives were continuously improved. The nation has elevated its position and prestige in the world and laid the foundations for the country’s development in the new era.  

The Party and State highly appreciated, trusted and expected the Party, military and civilian of Vinh Long Province to continue to promote their achievements and good traditions; proundly to be the hometown – the place of birth of Mr. Pham Hung – an outstanding child of Vietnam nation; to consolidate and take effort to turn the Province into a rich, beautiful, civilzed place and try to take care of all fields of people’s lives; to have practical share of the industrialization and modernization of the State; to be deserved to the love and expectations of Mr. Pham Hung as his dear hometown Vinh Long, said the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

The Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said, 100th anniversary of birth of the late Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung was held at the time that all the Party, military and civilians are positively implementing the Resolution XI Congress of the Party and the Central Conference Resolution 4 about "Some urgent issues on building the Party at present” and Political Misnistry’s instructions of continuing to study and comply with the shining example of Ho Chi Minh. We are grateful for the enormous merit of Mr. Pham Hung and try to follow that example, try our best to build and protect the nation and consolidate and combine with each other to take advantage of the good, to successfully complete the mission given in 2012 and the following years, which helps the nation go further, reach bigger and wholer achievements in order to bring people happiness and keep the Party clean and strong as our beloved Uncle Ho expected.
