On the afternoon of 11th June, Provincial People’s Committee - Dinh Quoc Thai presided over the meeting to approve the planning scheme of the amendment of the overall socioeconomic development untill 2020 and the vision until 2025.
Based on current Dong Nai socioeconomic situation and future forecast, Planning and Investment Department has expected 4 scenarios of economic growth from now until 2020 divided into the levels: average - quite high - high - very high. However, some general targets are still being maintained, as basically, continue to keep the goal of establishing an industrial zone with a basis of industrialization, modernization and synchronized infrastructure in 2020. Some other important criteria will be adjusted compared with the previous plan: GDP growth will increase from 12.3 to 13.3% / year; GDP per capita will reach from 2,900 to 3,000 USD / person in 2015 and from 5,700 to 6,200 USD / person in 2020; the growth rate of export value will increase from 12 to 13% / year; budget mobilization rate will increase from 23 to 25% compared with GDP ...
Meeting of approval on amending the socioeconomic master plan
Most opinions were in agreement with the amended contents compared with the old plan. Particularly, a few other criteria, such as resource mobilization rate, investment rate for new rural areas, forest coverage rate in accordance with land use planning ... will be suitably reviewed and amended by specialized departments before being submitted to People’s Council at the mid-year session which is scheduled to take place in the next early July.
