Dong Nai province People’s Committee promulgates plan to deploy industry and trade sector’s mission of protecting the environment in 2013.

The sector must develop a specified plan to implement the mission of protecting the sector’s environment; work closely with Departments, sectors and relevant units to deploy, conduct and fulfill the mission in 2013.

In 2013, the sector must: aggregate and compile propagating materials for cleaner production in industry and trade sector; monitor and provide guidelines for training activities for chemical incident response to enterprises in the province; collect, supplement and update statistics about chemical management, use and production at 3 major industrial zones; coordinate with relevant units to conduct inspection on and provide support to the work of environmental protection of enterprises in the sector.

The PPC also requires departments, sectors and localities including the Departments of Finance, Natural Resources and Environment, Planning and Investment, Customs, Industrial Zone Authorities, Provincial Public Security, Fire Prevention and Fighting Police, districts, Long Khanh town and Bien Hoa city to work closely together to fulfill the mission of protecting the environment in the sector.

At the same time, enterprises in the province must coordinate with Industry and Trade Department to closely monitor chemical activities and environmental protection work in the sector; provide sufficient information about the application of energy saving solutions, clean fuel and cleaner production in the industry.

The results in protecting the environment which needs to be achieved include: aggregating and completing the set of materials for cleaner production in the sector of industry and trade; organizing 2 classes (with 100 attendants) to propagate and provide guidelines for implementing cleaner production in the sector to the Departments, sectors and localities in the province; propagating the work of cleaner production in the sector by means of media; providing guidelines for and supports to the work of environmental environment to 60 enterprises involving hazardous chemical business and operation which may badly affect the environment; monitoring training activities for incident response of 25 key enterprises at high risk. 

The total cost for environmental protection in the sector in 2013 is expected to be 285,109,000 dong (specified in the attached annex); the funding source is allocated for the environmental protection of the sector in 2013. 

As for the work of implementation, the PPC assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to lead the mission of protecting the environment in the sector; other Departments, sectors, PC of districts, Long Khanh town and Bien Hoa city and enterprises must coordinate closely with Department of Industry and Trade to deploy the mission on the basis of their own functions and the details of this plan. 

The PPC required relevant units to seriously deploy the mission and make the report on the implementation to the PPC in this December, and timely report any problems to the PPC (as well as the Department of Industry and Trade) for directives on settlements.
