On the morning of March 15, Bien Hoa forestry center and building contractors held the ground-breaking ceremony of the stele monument for Bien Hoa Commando Corps 113’s heroic martyrs in Bien Hoa forestry plantation. The ceremony was attended by Deputy General of the provincial Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee – Vo Van Mot and the representatives of the generations of officers and soldiers of Commando Regiment 113.

Bien Hoa Commando Regiment (which is now called Commando Corps 113) whose commander was Brigadier Nguyen Thanh Tung was established June 3, 1972 in Base D. September 8, 1975 – Bien Hoa Commando Corps 113 was awarded the title of Hero of the people’s armed forces by the State. To welcome the 37th anniversary of Bien Hoa Commando Corps 113, the provincial Comitteee and People’s Committee has asked Bien Hoa forestry plantation (which is now called Bien Hoa forestry center) to be the investor and to cooperate with veteran liaison committee of Bien Hoa Commando Corps 113 to set up the construction project of the stele monument. It is nearly 11 meters in total high. It will be built in an area of 784 square meters on a natural hill in Bien Hoa forestry plantation, which is closely connected with history. The total construction costs which are over VND3 billion come from the provincial budget. It is expected that the stele monument will be finished on the 37th anniversary of Bien Hoa Commando Corps 113.
