It is a necessity to pay attention to training localities’ agricultural senior staff and calling for people to participate in agricultural, rural and farmer programs

    Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the agricultural production value on average in four years (from 2006 to 2009) rose by 5.87%, achieving plan goals set in the Resolution. Up to the present, agriculture has accounted for 90.4%, forestry 1.07% and aquaculture 8.53%. There is now a transition in tree planting area. Particularly, yearly tree area is being reduced and perennial high-yield tree area is being increased. Especially, the model of large-scale breeding in ranches is growing and gradually replacing that of inefficient and small-sized breeding. Also, applying scientific and technological achievements to cultivation, breeding and aquatic culture has achieved results. Rural infrastructure has been upgraded, and people's living standard is improved.

    However, in the process of implementation such problems as a right but slow transition in economic structure, technological weaknesses in agricultural production, undergrowth of rural industries and services to serve agriculture, a lack of effective solutions to applying technological models on a large scale, an environmentally serious pollution caused by rural manufacturers and agricultural staff’s failing to meet requirements have revealed...

    After hearing local departments, committees and sectors’ comments, Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee –Tran Dinh Thanh stressed that to implement the provincial Party Committee’s Plan no. 97 effectively the Steering Committee had to closely follow operation regulations and report methods and focus on reviewing, supplementing and adjusting criteria, which fail to satisfy those of Vietnam. Sectors are required to estimate financial resources of the projects from now to 2020. In addition, training for localities’ agricultural senior staff ought to be paid attention to. Especially, it is necessary to further promote emulation movements and the dissemination of the purposes and meanings of programs, schemes and projects among people....
