    The investment certificate awarding ceremony was attended by the leadership of Dong Nai province: Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh - Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee, Mr. Le Hong Phuong - Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Standing Party Committee, Mr. Bui Ngoc Thanh - Head of Dong Nai Commission for People Mobilization Work, Mr. Nguyen Cong Ngon - Vice President of Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee and by the leadership of departments and sectors in the province. For the Malaysian side, Ms. Dato 'Lim Kim Eng – the Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. En Khairi Omar - the Malaysian Consul in Ho Chi Minh city and the Malaysian and Vietnamese leadership of Berjaya attended the ceremony.

    This is the biggest 100% foreign-invested project in Dong Nai province. The project has a total investment capital of US$2 billion and it will be built on an area of approximately 600 hectares in the heart of Nhon Trach City, connecting the Road 25 and the main road link to Long Thanh International Airport and Ho Chi Minh City center. The idea of this project is to make Nhon Trach a first-rate and environmentally-friendly city with the facilities: theaters, cultural houses, exhibition centers, museums, parks, amusement parks and other public facilities. The project is expected to be built within 15 years and the ground-breaking ceremony will officially take place in 2011.

    Also, Berjaya - D2D - Berjaya Land Berhad's subsidiary, signed a memorandum with the Marriott Hotels (USA) at the ceremony. The memorandum is about a five-star hotel belonging to the project of hotels, trade centers and luxury apartments, which are under construction in Thong Nhat ward (of Bien Hoa city). This is the first international five-star hotel in Dong Nai province. The project will be finished in 2012.
