The Dong Nai Investment Promotion Delegation met a number of business people, member s and partners of Cargill Company.

Cargill is one of the largest private companies in the USA. It has 120,000 employees and caries out activities in nine different business fields worldwide, one of which hocuses on the processing of agricultural foods and nutritive foods for people. The annual Company turnover amounts to USD 60 million only at the Cargill  Investment  Office in the USA 2,500 employees work in an environment which is deemed to ideal for research, creation and contribution with its motto of mutual beneficial cooperation, Cargill always gives satisfaction to its customers, which is the success secret of the company.

After an introduction and a visit to several places in Cargill International Office, The Dong Nai Investment Promotion Delegation met a number of Cargill members and resident Vietnamese business people who are customers of Cargill. At the meeting, Richard Fash –Vice_ President of Cargill Board of Management present warm congratulations to the Dong Nai Investment Promotion Delegation for its successes obtained at its seminars in New York, Washington D.C and Chicago. He expressed his administration for the professional quality and the activity multiplicity of the Delegation. He expressed his pride because parts of the Delegation successes were contributed by Cargill members. He also stated that Cargill was one of the first USA companies to invest in Viet Nam two years after the normalization of relations between the two countries. At present, Cargill has four livestock feed processing factories in Viet Nam with an investment capital of over USD forty million. After ten years of activities, these livestock feed processing factories have become models of success in this field.

At the meeting with resident Vietnamese business peoples, customers of Cargill, many of them wanted to know a number of matters concerning the appeal for investment in Dong Nai. They said that the appeal program of the Delegation in the industrial field was fairly clear, and wanted to know the province policy concerning other domains, such as trade, tourism and services. In addition, many questions were put about waste treatment, environment management, law provisions and their enforcement in environment management and protection in Viet Nam… All these questions were answered satisfactorily by relevant directors of services and Vice – president Dang Thi Kim Nguyen.

Addressing the meeting, Mr Tran Dinh Thanh, Provincial Party Secretary and People’s Council Chairman- said that it was very difficult to exhaust all matters for discussion between the two parties at such a short meeting. He proposed that investors would study the distributed documents carefully, and after having determined their needs would go to Dong Nai Province for once to witness on the spot the practical liveliness of this land rich in potentialities. The Dong Nai Province Party Secretary affirmed: “Dong Nai will be always a safe and reliable arrival point for enterprises and where they can become rich”.
