The 8th Provincial Party Congress for 2005-2010 tenture to kick off

Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh is delivering an opening speech at the preparatory conference.

This 3-day Congress, to be held at the meeting-hall of the province’s square, will bring together 300 representatives who are party members belonged to 16 party branches throughout the province.

This morning, a preparatory conference for the 8th Provincial Party Congress was held in Bien Hoa city with the participation of 300 delegates representing party members from 16 party branches throughout the province. Also present at the conference were Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh, Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, Mr. Vo Van Mot, Deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee. Mr. Vo Van Mot chaired the conference.

Addressing at the conference, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh highly praised efforts of members from all party branches under Dong Nai Party Committee in preparatory activities for the 8th Provincial Party Congress. He pointed out that these preparatory activities will play an important role in success of the 8th Provincial Party Congress.

This confererence aims to elect a Congress Presidium and adopt the Working Rules for Congress… to aid preparation of 8th Provincial Party Congress. The Presidium consists of eleven members that are elected by this preparatory conference. There will be 3 secretaries during the 3-day Congress.

On this day, the provincial leaders, the delegates and many people in Bien Hoa city laid wreaths of flowers at the martyrs’ cemetery in memory of martyrs who died in the wars ahead of the preparatory conference.
