The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) delegation visits Dong Nai

In the morning of August 15th, JICA delegation had a working session with provincial leaders. Receiving the delegation was Mr. Huynh Van Toi, vice chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

It’s the official visit of JICA to Dong Nai to survey the industrial development situation and the need of training and educating the labour force in the province as to make plan for cooperating between universities and local communities to train and educate skilled labour force. The plan is scheduled to be implemented in Dong Nai and some other province in Mekong river delta in 2006 and JICA will support these provinces to construct distance learning centers to provide training and educating courses through Television and Internet.

Vice chairman of provincial People’s Committee valued that the training courses basing on practical demand are suitable to the development orientation of the province. He added that the province had been focusing on educating such fields as internet marketing, high-tech sectors such as environmental technology and Software Engineering.

He also stressed that Dong Nai has three significant factors to the success of this project. These are the strong determination and clear orientation of the province, a good educational system and infrastructure and the imperative demand of skilled workforce for industrial zones in the province.
