Step up co-operation between Giang To and Dongnai provinces

On a continuous trip to visit and work at Dongnai for two days 3-4 July, the Delegation of Economics and Culture of Jiangsu (China) led by Mr. Song Xiao Ming - Leader of the Commission on Asian and American Affairs, External Relations Office of Nanjing had a meeting with the province’s leaders; worked with the Departments of: Culture and Information, of Planning and Investment, of Trade and Tourism; went on a sightseeing tour of the showrooms of the Management Board of Industrial Zones and visited some Industrial Zones; took fact-finding trips to co-operatives producing organic vegetables, pomelo groves and establishments manufacturing hulled rice of Vinh Cuu district. There were Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh - Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vo Van Mot - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and Mr. Ao Van Thinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee that welcomed and worked with the Delegation.

At the meeting, the Delegation of Economics and Culture of Jiangsu showed their gladness to visit and work at Dongnai. This is a trip for exploring the situation and seeking new opportunities of co-operation. Stating at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh stressed: Dongnai and Jiangsu have many things in common. So, there is no reason that the two provinces do not enhance their cooperative relationship to the new height: more solid and real. Via the visiting and working trip at Jiangsu, Dongnai has learned from the friendly province a great amount of experience in agricultural production, industrial development as well as environmental protection. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his expectation that, after this trip, the Delegation will give Dongnai further support in the fields in which the two parties are likely to co-operate.

Working with the Departments of Culture and Information, of Planning and Investment, of Trade and Tourism, the Delegation of Economics and Culture of Jiangsu seemed to be satisfied with the co-operative plans Dongnai schedule to carry out the forthcoming time. Those are cultural exchange weeks, art performances, teaching aids, training for teachers at the College of Culture and Art; exchange and co-operation in heritage preservation and so on. The co-operation program in cultures between the two localities is expected to begin in 2008.
