The candidates presented their action plans, which focused on socio-economic enhancement, ecological environment protection, care for spiritual and material lives of the people and working class, strong national defense and effective administrative reform improvement. They also listened to the voters’ opinions to supplement and perfect their action plans.

At the meeting, most of the voters showed their cheerfulness and their beliefs in the achievements obtained over the past few years in the whole country in general and in the province in particular and approved the candidates’ action plans. However, a large number of voters expressed their anxieties over such problems as long lasting “suspended” projects, environment pollution in some of industrial zones over the district, the public health system that has not made a good job on serving the people’s needs, unreliable traffic safety, slow settlement of corruption cases, slow administrative procedure and so on. Particularly, it is necessary to put much more attention to site clearance compensation and care for spiritual and material lives of those who are workers living in a developed district and coming to work in industrial zones like Nhon Trach district.

Showing the responsibility of a voter, Nguyen Thanh Nhan (72 years old and a voter of Phu Hoi Commune) said he had learned about the candidates’ biographies and listened to their action plans and that he was anxious to vote for talented and well-behaved National Assembly candidates who would bring proper interests to the people.

Pham Thi Trac

“The candidates should provide much more care to lives of workers who are living in the industrial zones,” Pham Thi Trac (voter of Phuoc Thien Commune) said. “In my neighbourhood, a large number of workers have instant noodles for breakfasts, contact with chemicals during daytime and go to and fro in narrow rooms only 12 square meters wide at nights. They are short of a great number of material, spiritual and cultural conditions that could help their lives better.”
