Building cultured families in the integration era is regarded as the most indispensable and difficult task. It is the family itself that can provide adequate manpower for the industrialization and modernization time and leave a variety of national cultural values to our next generations. Since the movement to encourage residents to lead a cultural life has been kicked off, there are now 422.203 out of 429.205 matching with the standards of a cultured family, which accounts for 89.9 per cent. At the meeting, 57 cultured families deriving from many localities have been chosen to receive awards in recognition of their excellent performance and they will also be delegated to participate in the provincial meeting of typical cultured families. Out of these families, there were 12 selected ones to represent the province to take part in the upcoming national meeting to praise typical cultured families from many areas nationwide. The movement has made great impacts on social aspects, contributed to correcting and justifying any wrongdoing, gradually built a more cultural lifestyle and community behaviors, and brought about more civilized, prosperous and happy life for the population as a whole.

Family is seen as a cell and living seed for the society. The more well-established the family is, the more stable the society grows. Dong Nai is the most densely populated province with a large number of residents coming from various places. Thus, the movement of building cultured family should pay particular attention to those employees working at industrial parks in order to educate their awareness of some considerably pressing social concerns such as drug addiction, family abuse, gambling and traffic law breaking,…

At the meeting, participators had an open talk with 6 typical families to exchange several necessary experiences in family care and children custody and nurture, well-done business doing and community devotion,… The exemplary family like Mr. Pham Van Ngu’s was commonly admired for his generous heart more than a simple millionaire, a successful businessman. He served as a founder of the house for lonesome old people with the current membership of 22 senior citizens and disabled people. Thanks to this gracious home, lonesome old people can revive their happiness and find the sympathy and beloved behaviors among them; Every night, Mrs. Tran Thi Dung, a woman who has made numerous efforts in maintaining the security and order at Quarter 5, Vinh An Town, Vinh Cuu District, persistently accompanied other militiamen to ensure the security for every local household. It has been widely believed that her act has contributed to securitizing locals’ living. Not only did this voluntary work make her happy, but she also found the happiness deriving from the harmonious partnership with her whole-hearted husband and the satisfaction toward her two studious and obedient children who has gained their success in making a living. Recalling the evasion from poverty, Mr. Nguyen Van Tu’s family taught us the lesson about the spirit of “husband and wife’s combined force” and deserved taking our admiration. Primarily, he had none of manufacturing materials and stayed bare-handed to earn his living on his own land. Currently, Mr. Tu’s family is running a small home factory to process raw agricultural products. This tiny facility has provided 20 employments for local laborers; Mr. Nguyen Van Binh’s family was worth naming “a gold heart” that can make those attending the meeting moved. While doing the best to take care of and breeding his family, he continuously tried to show the good deed and kind affection for his relatives, comrades and neighbors. After escaping from poverty and when his life faced less hardship, his family became a shelter for many other needy families. He managed to give a hand to help 6 households overcome their poor circumstances and distribute his land to 10 families to carry out their production. Currently, his family is taking care of his comrade’s wife and children.
