Journalism in the information technology age

 Everything around us changes every second.  With a large amount of events happened every second, it requires the press agents to inform these news quickly and correctly every event. It is likely that the quickness has become one of the most important criteria in today journalism. To meet this standard, all journalists have asked for the help of information technology.

With a little imagination, we will realize that a collect of newspapers is a miniature of our real world with all types of music, colors, pictures and etc. The miraculous changes of everyday life will be correctly and vividly described through the journalist’s pen. Newspaper is a huge information storage of all kinds, ages and places. Therefore, wherever you are just with a newspaper you can know every event taken place all over the world, especially with the electronic newspapers, you can even see and hear things happened in the scene of that event or we can chat with real persons on the these electronic newspapers. It is fantastic! Information technology is indispensable for informing events quickly and correctly in any types of newspapers, particularly the electronic newspaper.

10 years ago, it is very difficult for journalist to fulfill his job because of the shortage of special equipments. Take the story of a famous journalist of a well-known newspaper as an example. He unveiled that “When a landslide happened in Sapa, presently is a famous resort in the north, I am assigned to write about this event. It takes me a day to go there because the traffic is very bad. After taking a photo of this scene and finishing my article, I don’t know to send my article to my newspaper office so as to publish this news in the next morning newspaper because at that time there is no internet shop in that mountainous province. A lot of hot event has become old news due to the limit of multimedia devices.

Another example is that today with the help of digital camera, recorder and computer the work of journalist is finished quickly and easily. If we take a photo by using traditional camera, we have to wait for the picture to be printed. But now we can use it immediately if we take picture with digital camera. This will be a great help if it is a electronic newspaper.

In short, the development of journalism owns its thanks to the information technology advancement. Therefore, journalists should enhance themselves to keep up with the development of information technology.
