The contest is a useful activity for young students in the summer vacation. Competitor Mai Ly Bang, the runner-up of the software contest, unveiled that “I have spent nearly one year to develop my software. I am satisfied with the second prize.” He also suggested that the organizes should invite students from gifted schools in the province to take part in the contest so that he and his peers to have chance to compete with each other. “With the hope to become an excellent programmer in the future, I will take part in the contest until I am ruled out because of the age”, said Bang. Although the contest just last for one day, it is really a good play ground for students in the summer.

But the test should focus on competitors’ knowledge and content of the test is rather wide. Some questions are too difficult for competitors to solve and some are too easy for programmers”. Competitor Tran Nam Phong, a fifth grader of Duc Tri elementary school in Trang Bom district happily said “this is my first time to compete in the contest. I don’t win any prizes but I am also satisfied because I have learnt a lot of things from my peers in the contest, especially from people who win prizes. What impress me most are the encouragements from audiences and the quick response of some competitors. I have gained a lot of experiences for next year contest and have to study more”

Generally speaking, the unprofessional computer contest for young student has positively changed over the past ten years. In previous contest, the organizers just required competitors to have basic skills of office computer and the multiple choice contest is short. Now, the content of competition is diversified and more practical, requiring advanced skills and aiming to enhance the knowledge of competitors to match with the real situation. The contest aims at mobilizing the youth to study computer and   is one of the activities in the green summer campaign in 2006. Thus, the numbers of competitors are very high and it is becoming an exciting activity for students and pupils in the summer.
