NEDO Group (New Energy and industrial Technology Development Organization) working with Dong Nai Province on a Project Utilizing Photovoltaic Power Generation System.

After two previous meetings and surveys (in March and April 2006) and after inspection of data and reports on solid wastes in Dong Nai Province, the survey delegation of NEDO group returned to Dong Nai to make further examination at a number of garbage dumps, solid – waste treating units, some companies which discharge great quantities  of wastes etc. The purpose of this was to assess their total quantity and the composition of (harmful and harmless) solid wastes, examine current waste collecting, sorting, storage and treatment methods in the province and simultaneously study detailed reports and explanations on related matters provided by Dong Nai Province so as to have a ground for drawing up a feasibility study on the building of a zone where wastes are treated into electricity in Dong Nai Province. Thanks to this, it is able to utilize photovoltaic power generation system discharged by 100 tons of wastes per day and recuperate recycled electricity from them. At the meeting, NEDO also announced to Dong Nai Province the work to be done by the Vietnamese side in the project-drawing up process, project implementation and technical operation. It is known that NEDO is the greatest industrial Technology Development Organization in Japan, the activities of which aim to disseminate advanced technologies related to the environment according to the new technique-financing funds organized by NEDO.
