Dongnai Provincial Union organized a ceremony to launch and start the Youth’s Month

The motto of 2007 “Youth’s Month” is “The youth take actions for the community - the whole society see to and cultivate the young”. Ms. Pham Thi Kim Chung - the Deputy Secretary of Dongnai Provincial Union told about the purpose of the ceremony to launch the “Youth’s Month” as follows: via every practical activity to promote the voluntary and pioneering role of the young and to create conditions for the Union members and teenagers to take part in the realization of locally economic, political and social duties, which helps to perform successfully the socio-economic missions of Dongnai province in 2007 and to welcome the Union Congress of all levels and the second Union Congress of Dongnai Province, coming to greeting the Ninth National Union Congress.

Besides strengthening the political ideology education and organizing union and team activities for young Union members, the Standing Committee of Provincial Union mobilized a phase of emulation campaign at high time in the whole Union for young subjects in many aspects of traffic safety, social evil prevention, environmental sanitation, public health care, returns for favor, participation in building rural infrastructure, promotion of the implementation of 4-new movement (new technology, new profession, new market and new model), helping the youth to reduce poverty and to rise for making their own fortunes properly and so on. This time, the Provincial Union requested each Union foundation to strive for registering in taking over at least one work.

The Provincial Union also gave specific targets to strive in 2007 “Youth’s Month” such as the whole province expands to 5,000 new members, introduces at least 2,000 members to the Union, finishes the second stage of informatics network connection at the unit directly under the Provincial Union, continues to make project of establishing the Education Center for 1-6 year-old children, mobilizes the humanitarian blood donation movement and organizes medical examination and medicine delivery for free to 500 children, teenagers and people.

From 4^th to 10^th March, 2007, the Unions of districts, towns, cities and Union bloc directly under will start to carry out the Youth’s Month at a time according to 3 stages: “The Youth take actions for the community”, “Lighting the traditional flame”, and “Deserving the title of the youth of Ho Chi Minh generation”.

The Standing Committee of Provincial Union expect and believe that the eventful days of the Youth’s Month this year will make a new hallmark, an important beginning step of a special and meaningful year for the Union work and children and teenagers’ movements within the home province.
