Minister of the Ministry of Public Health Tran Thi Trung Chien visited and worked in Dong Nai: The Ministry of Public Health will support the province to train human resources

The Minister Tran Thi Trung Chien (the third person from the left) learnt about the manufacture situation of  Shinpoong pharmaceutical company in Bien Hoa II Industrial Zone.

After listening to the provincial leaders’ reports on the general situation of the public health management in the area, the Minister Tran Thi Trung Chien said that Dong Nai needs to plan its public health with the strategies in accordance with the common developmental demands of the locality. As regards the human resource, Dongnai province lacks around 1,200 doctors and pharmacists of university for the developmental orientation to 2010, which according to the Minister is very serious and is suggested to be concerned about further. With respect to this matter, the Minister said that the Ministry of Public Health will give priority to supporting the province; however, the province needs to be more active and to call upon entrepreneurs to contribute training expenditure in order to have enough cadres of public health taking after the health of laborers in focused industrial zones. In the field of public health service socialization, according to the Minister, Dong Nai deployed it so slowly and thus in the forthcoming time has to speed up the promotion of inviting many foreign investors to build private hospitals. The Minister Tran Thi Trung Chien also suggested agencies directly under the Ministry of Public Health and the provincial People’s Committee create conditions for pharmaceutical products manufacturing businesses in the area so that they could approach the domestic market and draw up strategies, which helps to attract investment to make the pharmaceutical industry become one of the key economic industries of the province. With regard to bird flu prevention, the Minister of the Ministry of Public Health suggested the province strengthen close management and inoculation for sufficient number of poultry kept on a small scale; slaughter poultry in the form of technological line or complex to ensure clean and safe meat products provided for consumers.

On this journey of visiting and working in Dong Nai, the Minister of the Ministry of Public Health Tran Thi Trung Chien visited and talked to the cadres and staffs of the provincial Polyclinic Hospital and worked with 8 pharmaceutical products manufacturing businesses which have foreign investment and are located in Bien Hoa II Industrial Zone.
