8th Dong Nai provincial Trade Union Congress opened

This Congress focused on the theme “Solidarity, creativeness, development of employees and trade unions and building of an industrial Dongnai Province.” For two working days, the delegates reviewed their work, evaluated the implementation of objectives and duties set in the Resolution of the 7^th Provincial Trade Union Congress (2003-2008), drew lessons and experience and contributed to the draft of the 10^th Vietnam Trade Union Congress’s documents, draft of Vietnam Trade Union’s regulations, which would be submitted to the 10^th Congress, and draft of 8^th Provincial Trade Union Congress’s documents. They also voted for the Executive Board of the 8^th Provincial Trade Union and the delegation to attend the 10^th Congress.

In the last five years,  the trade unions at all levels always followed the objectives and duties set by the 7^th Provincial Trade Union Congress, reformed their operation and diversified ways of popularization, which contributed to the development of the socio-economy and protection of the politics and security. Particularly, the development of trade union’s members and building of strong trade unions in non-state run businesses gradually stabilized the labour relationship and legal rights and interest of the employees were ensured. The outstanding officials, youth union’s members and trade unions’ members were admitted to the Party, becoming key people for movements.

In the first working days, the delegates discussed to make proposals for the above-mentioned drafts and regulations and passed the name list of recommended executive board of 8^th Provincial Trade Union including 45 people, 41 of which would be elected.
