Over 250 police officers to take part in the kick-off ceremony of the “whole people to defend the national security” movement.

On July 17th morning, at Quang Trung Commune’s House Of Culture, Thong Nhat District, the provincial Police held the kick-off ceremony to mobilize people from all walks of life to defend the national security. Present at the ceremony were Huynh Ngoc Phuong, responsible for the Movement Board of Ministry of Public Security’s Southern Representative Organ; Bui Ngoc Thanh, Chairperson of the Public relations Board of the provincial Party’s Committee; Nguyen Van Khanh, Director of the provincial Public Security; Bishop Da Minh Nguyen Xuan Tung, Xuan Loc Bishopric and representatives of the provincial Military Command, sectors and over 250 police officers.

Kick-off ceremony view

 

The ceremony takes place for 5 days (from July 17 to 27), in five communes namely Quang Trung, Gia Kiem, Gia Tan 1, Gia Tan 2, Gia Tan 3 in Thong Nhat district. This is the activity to promote the total power of the army and the people in defending the national security in the province. The police officers will co-ordinate with bishops, churches and representatives of agencies and sectors to dredge canals, repair roads, clear bushes, celebrate cultural and sporting exchanges and so on

    On this occasion, the Leading Board of Public Security Department also co-ordinates with some promoters such as Long Thanh Golf, AAA insurance company, Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development etc to give 20 houses of compassion to the localities, 50 bicycles to poor students and 1000 crash helmets.

Provincial Public Security Department’s representative gave crash helmets to Bishop Da Minh, Xuan Loc Bishopric.

 

    These activities are aimed at strengthening relations between the provincial police force and the local units, which helps popularize law provisions, enhance the awareness of crime control and maintain law and order in the province, said Ngo Minh Duc – Vice-Director of the provincial Public Security, at the ceremony.  These are also the activities which express the guideline “Self-sacrificing for the country and the people” of the provincial police force, added Duc.
