2,165 candidates take the entrance exam into Luong The Vinh gifted school.

According to well-informed sources, 3,165 candidates have registered for in this entrance exam into 7 subjects with the detailed quantity as follow: Vietnamese literature: 207 candidates, Math: 469 candidates, computer: 76 candidates; English language: 463 candidates, physics: 216 candidates: Chemistry: 448 candidates; Biology: 178 candidates. The school will recruit 350 students, 35 higher than that of last year, for 7 gifted ten-form classes (25 students/class) and 5 normal classes (35 students/class). The matriculation marks for gifted classes will be calculated as the follow formula: (Gifted subject x 2) + (Vietnamese language + Math) + (preferential marks if any). The mark for normal classes bases on two subjects of Vietnamese language and Math.

Each candidate will take three tests, consisting of Vietnamese literature, math and gifted subject. This morning, the candidates will take the Vietnamese literature test and the test in the afternoon is math. Next morning, the candidates will take the gifted subject.
