The eighth meeting of the seventh provincial People’s Council concluded.

At the inquiry session in the morning of the third working day, all delegates focused on the process of handling the violation of Tri An reservoir’s regulation of Dinh Quan district’s authorities; on the resettlement plan for households in Quang Vinh district of Bien Hoa City; methods to decelerate traffic accidents; solutions to some projects which are slowly carried out; the situation of environment pollution in industrial zones and residential area, etc… According to delegates and voters, the answers of leaders of functional agencies and department are clear and perfect in line with the concerns of voters and delegates and elucidated all complaints made by voters and delegates. These answers showed the responsibilities of these agencies and departments. Besides, departments and functional agencies also proposed many detailed solutions to their fields of administrations.

To account for some basic programs directed and managed by the provincial People’s Committee in the second half of 2006, the chairperson of provincial People’s Committee suggested some feasible solutions to the growth rate of socioeconomic development. As for economy field, the provincial People’s Committee quickly finished to the general plan for social and economic development in the period from 2006 to 2020 and then submitting to the government for approval. Basing on this general plan, the provincial People’s Committee would directed all departments, agencies and localities to check, adjust and supplement to the general plan in term of their function, management. In addition, the provincial People’s Committee kept on launching investment promotion campaign in a large scale and got ready for the integration process. As for compensation, site-clearance and resettlement activities, the provincial People’s Committee requested relevant departments, agencies and localities to strictly obey regulations on duration, process and procedure to handle dossiers. The province also focused on enhancing the role and duties of provincial Compensation Council and its specialist teams.

In the afternoon, the meeting unanimously approved 6 key resolutions, consisting of  Resolution on adjusting the Resolution No.60/2005/NQ-HĐND on the program to construct legal documents of provincial People’s Council in 2006; Resolution on supplementing solutions to the socioeconomic development and national security and defense in 2006; Resolution on adjusting the plan on capital for construction in 2006; Resolution on adjusting the plan on exploiting, using and managing the natural resources in Dongnai province till 2010 and direction to 2020; Resolution on adjusting the market fee and Resolution on the personnel of public administrative agencies in the province.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh, member of Central Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People’s Council requested the provincial People’s Committee, departments and authorities at various levels to closely check, direct and manage all programs in term of their functions and authorities as to enhance the solidarity and disciplines and to fulfill all their tasks and missions of 2006.
