According to Mr. Le Van Danh -Director of Department of Industry and Trade, exported goods of the province reached nearly US$ 5.8 billion during the first six months of 2014, an increase of 15.8% (equivalent to US$ 790 million) over the same period last year, and 0.9 percentage points higher than the national average.
In terms of the consumer goods market, the province has abundant supply, stable prices, the average Consumer Price Index in the first 6 months of 2014 showed a 4.33% year-on-year increase. Total retail sales reached 53.6 trillion VND during the first 6 months. Department of Trade and Industry also frequently directs Branch of Market Control Department to inspect to prevent speculation, goods hoarding, violations for product price, etc. As the result, the authority has worked on more than 1,300 violated cases and conducted administrative sanction of more than 4 billion VND since the beginning of the year.
