Bien Hoa planned 100% urbanization

​Recently, the PPC of Dong Nai has issued Decision No. 2302/QD-PPC on adjusting the overall general plan at the ratio of 1/10,000 of Bien Hoa City in 2030, towards vision in 2050. Bien Hoa City now has the total area of 26,354.82 ha and the population in 2030 of about 1.3 to 1.4 million, the entire urban population with urbanization rate is 100%.


​The new plan aims to build a city of Bien Hoa "culture and longevity", "prosperity and dynamism" on the economy, with high competitiveness at regional, national and international level, with strong connected regional and international infrastructure, with a key economic sector in most advanced services and high-tech industries. Bien Hoa was identified as an integrated urban at the first regional level and an independent satellite urban in the central urban area (30 km radius area) of Ho Chi Minh city; performing the same functions with the nuclear urban Ho Chi Minh City such as finance, trade services, research, training, health, culture, tourism, entertainment, sport. It is also one of the industrial centers, culture, trade services, science - technology and training; important transport hub of the south key economic areas, including HCM city the South East area, Dong Nai province and the important place on security - national defense of the region.



Population of the whole urban is forecasted in stages as follows: By 2020, approximately 1.1 to 1.2 million people, of which the urban population is about 1 to 1.1 million people, the rate of urbanization is 90%. By 2030, the entire 1.3 to 1.4 million people is urban population. The rate of urbanization is 100%.

Bien Hoa has two main urban areas and affected areas: traditional Bien Hoa urban area (before the expansion of administrative boundaries in 2010) – the north of urban; new urban area in the south of Bien Hoa (built-in 4 communes of Long Thanh district merged into Bien Hoa in 2010) – the south of urban. The affected areas are located outside the north of urban in Vinh Cuu District, including the new urban in Thanh Phu and Binh Hoa, Tan Binh, Binh Loi. The area of industrial development is planned with a total area of about 1,900 ha, including the existing industrial parks focused on both sides of Highway 15, Long Binh Ward (associated with the traditional Bien Hoa urban areas), with IPs: Bien Hoa 2, Amata, Agtex Long Binh, Loteco. Tam Phuoc (associated with the urban in the east of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau highway) has Tam Phuoc IP and a part of Giang Dien IP. Tan Phuoc has a part of Ho Nai IP.

Besides, the existing industrial clusters include Tan Hanh ceramic industry cluster and Doc 47 industrial Cluster at Tam Phuoc.
