Asian Pacific Robot Contest 2014: Vietnam, the Champion.

Among the crowds, members of LH-NVN team and fans from “homeland” tears blur but smile extends all the way down and the heart seemed to burst with too big joy. Experiencing 5 times at international competitions with 3 times runner-up, the Vietnam team with members from Lac Hong University finally touch the trophy, realize dreams simmering for years.

Thrilling and dramatic

In qualifying, the teams assessed as strong as: Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and 2 teams from the host country India are spread out 6 different tables, so the audience does not regret the "early final” match. From this round, the teams’ strength are clearly revealed, robot of teams as: Srilanka, Mongolia, Nepal, Korea, including Indonesia and Thailand… only at the level of struggling to complete the contest (3 minutes time). Strong team like Japan, after absolute victory against Korean team (Shaabbash), in the match against the weak team Mongolia, Japan team got malfunction and caused painful defeat made all the arena loudly in suspense and tension. Meanwhile, the Vietnam team has won by Shaabbash 2 times only from 43-50 seconds, hightlights at competition in the first round.

In the next round, 8 teams qualifying directly through to the quarter-finals include: Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Russia, Mongolia. Confront with Egypt, Vietnam got all 80 points, the highest point to win in round, with the victory against Shaabbash in the minimum time 48 seconds. Thailand team, Japan team, Indonesia team also won by Shaabbash but with longer time, made the team more confidence.

In semi-final, highly dramatic when the Indonesia team gone before Vietnam team approximately half of the period, but the members of the Vietnam team still amazingly calm, confidence to overcome and achieve victory Shaabbash before Indonesia team in a snap, about 3 seconds. In the final, confront the "former rival" (Japan team won Asian Pacific Robot Contest in Da Nang city 2013), Vietnam team remained confidence style, calmly omitted rival very far, won Shaabbash victory in about 45 seconds, and became the champion.

  “Great” and “Fair”

For a long time, Vietnam name became formidable opponents in this intellectual playground. Therefore, in the trial court on August 23, most of the participating teams and the press will pay attention to LH-NVN very carefully. With everyone, the Vietnam team members have expressed friendly, sociable and fun so won the hearts of everyone. 

And vice versa, the team members also observed the strong rival to evaluate, so the whole team played with confidence and mental calmly

Not only victory in intellectual playground, LH-NVN team also won the hearts of the audience with the most beautiful way of playing, accurate, friendly style. Each time the Vietnam appeared, both the arena rang out loud cheers: “Hello, Vietnam! Vietnam - victory!”. The M.C. of the competition several times repeated in the semi-final between Thailand and Japan: "Which team will be rival of the Vietnam team?".

Entering the final round, though the Japanese have massive fans from their own country, , but the team Vietnam has a “ocean” of fans from other countries, including the "failure side" under Vietnam team hand. Imitating the Vietnam team, fans from country was also surrounded by the audience fans to take pictures, and shaking hands. The Vietnam name resounded proudly on August 24 at Balewandi competition center, made those who are Vietnamese in that glory days were full of joy and pride.
