Customs Department recently held a dialogue with the Korean enterprises with the participation of Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Phan Thi My Thanh; Korean Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Oh Jae-Hack and the departments of provinces and 130 South Korean enterprises investing in Dong Nai.
In the dialogue, the Customs Department has implemented a number of new content on customs procedures; Circular 20 of the Ministry of Science - Technology newly issued on the import of machinery and equipment used. Department of Taxation has also implemented a number of new tax policies in 2014, such as corporate income tax, withholding tax, value added tax. Some questions of the Korean enterprises such as error handling when cargo clearance. Procedures of transfering customs clearance gate; investment incentives; regulations on hiring foreign workers to employ is limited too low. Examination and treatment with medical insurance should be more concerned ... The specialized agencies answered questions for enterprises.
So far, the province has 280 investment projects of Korean enterprises with a total investment of more than 4.3 billion USD. The investment projects of enterprises Korea ranked second in total foreign investment projects in Dong Nai and accounts for about 10% of the total project investment of Korean enterprises in Vietnam.
